Gaming at the Cinema? What a time to be alive!

For all those Gamers out there, did you know that here at the Waterfront Cinema you can play your consoles on the big screen?! Wait, what? On the big screen, yes! You heard right, you can hire out hall – for a birthday, a night out, or if you just have some extra cash hanging about – and play whatever console and game you want until your eyes go square.

And is there not a better time to get ampted about this service and enough time to save up your pennies after the Bethesda E3 conference unveiling all the new kick-ass games coming to a game shop near you! So why not have a look at some of the trailer for these games below (these are just some of my personal favorites – I’m sure you have yours, why not comment below with what game you’re looking forward to most!)

Doom.
A remake of the classic first person shooter that any long time gamer should be excited about.

Final Fantasy 7.
This is my personal favorite and the game I am most looking forward to, the original Final Fantasy that sparked a gaming revolution.

Rise of Tomb Raider.
We all know you love a bit of Lara Croft, anyone who played the original and says they didn’t put the butler in the freezer is lying. This is the game that shows where it all began

The Elder Scrolls 6.
This is the game, to my shame, I know the least about. However it is one of the game franchises I would most like to get into…if I ever have 3 weeks off together, as I hear time flies when you play it.

Metal Gear Solid 5.
This again is one of those games I personally played in my youth, who didn’t love hiding in a box trying to sneak your way past enemy lines. In my adulthood the game franchise has slipped away from me, but this does look pretty awesome.

Halo 5.
For a minute there, I had to double check to make sure this wasn’t a movie trailer. Once again, I shame myself by not being a bigger Halo enthusiast, but I continue to fanboy over the immensity that is this game

Hi there Waterfront Cinema, I was wondering, instead of games you could play movies that we bring in ?? For example, if I wanted to watch “the lion King” on the big screen, would I be able to screen it for me and my friends ?? plez get in touch

      Hi Mairi,

Thanks for getting in touch, you can indeed screen a film of your choice as part of our ‘Birthday Party Bookings’, the pricing will be the same as our ‘Gaming Party Bookings’, prices varying depending on time and date. For more information or to discuss your options further with us please don’t hesitate to fill out an Enquiry form at the bottom of the ‘Birthday Parties’/’Gaming Parties’ tab (under ‘Venue Hire’) or get in touch through alternative means (email/telephone).

I look forward to hearing back from you,

      Kind Regards,

Hi Gary, thanks for being so helpful, but me being the silly sausage that I am forgot to ask about box sets, if it would be possible to maybe screen episodes over a period of time? For example, could me and my friends meet up every week at your establishment for a weekly showing of a tv series ? This would be really helpful and we would be happy to pay full price every week.

Thanks for the help so far, hope you reply to this one as well!

      Hi Mairi,

Thanks for replying back to me, and I apologise for the late reply, you’ve caught me out of our normal opening hours.

In regards to your question in terms of a temporary/permanent booking arrangement to view a TV boxset i.e. 2 episodes per week for example. This is a great idea and we would be more than happy to accommodate. The pricing will differ depending on the day, time and length of hall hire (please see our Gaming Party/Private Hire prices for a guide). I’d suggest a Tuesday/Thursday evening/afternoon as these days are some of our quietest and in turn will result in a cheaper price overall (£50.00 per hour before or after 12:30pm). I’d also suggest getting together a group of friends in order for you all to split the cost of the hall hire to make it A. more affordable and B. more enjoyable with a better atmosphere.

I would love to hear more about this Mairi in regards to what days and times you were thinking of, you can email me direct at garyedmond@westcoastcinemas.com

I look forward to reading your email,
